Small UAS Safety Awareness™ is a self-paced online course (4 hours) designed for individuals who hold an existing Part 61 airman certificate and who intend to operate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for civil or commercial purposes. This course builds on the existing knowledge, skill, and attitudes that credentialed Part 61 airmen maintain, introduces flight safety principles core to UAS operations, and prepares students to be safe and responsible remote pilots.
