USI's Small UAS Safety Certification™ is awarded to candidates who successfully complete USI's Safety Ground School and course on the application and development of UAS technology.
The Small UAS Safety Certification™ gives UAS operators a sound foundation in the theoretical covering a wide survey of UAS technologies and concepts.
Students must achieve an 80% pass rate on the examinations to be successful in the course. The SUASSC™ is equivalent to 155 hours of instruction.
